Even though they didn’t play their first show until April, Denton’s Ghosthustler were making an embryonic impact based just on their synth-bipped myspace tracks. Recently the group unleashed a video for “Parking Lot Nights,” which, in addition to just being a smooth electo-groove, also manages to fulfill our fantasy of rampaging across town with a Nintendo Powerglove.
The video was directed by Pete Ohs, who runs the video blog The Anchor Center based out of Cincinnati. This seems to be one of his first full music video projects, so look for more good stuff from him in the future. Although Ghosthustler have some shows planned in North Texas over the next month, they aren’t scheduled to swing down here anytime soon. They are, however, on the bill for the Wall of Sound Festival, which is turning into an impressive lineup including Explosions in the Sky, Pinback, Midlake, The Books, and Spectrum, alongside more Austin talent like Ghostland Observatory, Peter and the Wolf, The Sword, Brothers and Sisters, and much, much more.
