A good show bill is like a well-rounded breakfast. By well rounded of course, I mean pancakes, french toast, waffles and 8 pieces of bacon all on one plate (or platter). Needless to say, there’s only one thing that excites me more than a platter of food, and that’s the show tonight at Club Deville.
We’re getting antsy waiting for new Transmography releases after last year’s Polydactly, but that doesn’t mean their live shows aren’t killer. Hopefully they’ll be serving up some new tracks tonight.
Another band we’re patiently awaiting new music from is La Snacks, who will be tempting us all night with new tunes. They’re also curating the Conect The Dots Festival in Beaumont this August, which just might get us to leave our Austin home to make the trip out East.
Also playing is UME, whose female vocals seriously creep me out, in a good way though. Their music teeters between wailing hard-rock guitars and power-chordy punk, but never quite settles on either, instead finding a third dimension with flavors of indie rock. Filling out the lineup, we’ve got Moses and the Burning Bush, whose myspace headline reads: “Handsome men, playing handsome music.” Well, I’m sold.
Things kick off promptly at 10pm. See you there!
