Brazos Kicks Off Progress Coffee Friday Residency

Over the past year, we’ve watched Martin Crane’s Brazos just get better and better, which is saying a lot considering they started out impressive already with last summer’s A City Just As Tall EP. Until they finish their expected full length though, we recommend taking in the band live, and with their newly established residency at Progress Coffee on East 5th St., you have ample opportunity over the next month. Still not convinced? Brazos also have some fantastic new songs on their Myspace page that you really need to hear now. The residency kicks off on Friday, July 11 and runs through August 1. And cover is only $3.

Even greater incentive is the list of bands that Brazos is bringing along to open. Tomorrow’s show also features The Weird Weeds and Nat Baldwin of the Dirty Projectors. July 18 has Tenlons Fort on tap, while July 25th brings Bill Baird’s {{{Sunset}}}. The residency closes out on August 1 with Alex Dupree opening.
