At last weekend’s Everyone Knows Everyone I didn’t necessarily have a lot of time to catch much music, but one quick bit that I did get to see was from Yadira Brown, who managed to impress with just a single song.
In “Dreams Of Home” Yadira’s sound dabbles into the realm of the experimental with samples and various other electronic touches at every turn, but when it comes to the vocals they’re straight pop. On some levels it kind of makes for a weird listen, but it works.
As of now it doesn’t appear that she has an official release, but I’m guessing that it won’t be too long before she does. Until then try to catch a performance or two around town.
