It’s about time we stop talking about the Steps as one of the most exciting young bands in Austin, and acknowledge that they have become one of the city’s hottest acts, period. Their eponymous debut was a statement, and we have a feeling their future lies beyond the incestuousness of our little scene here. But check out the new video for their song “Dagger,” which was shot out in Granger by Jesse Hill and the always excellent team at Super!Alright! The Steps will be back in Austin on Wednesday, February 19, when they hit Stubb’s with Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights.
