Word just got out that the headliner for this year’s Forty Acres Fest, which until now had been kept rather hush-hush, will be Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. You might recognize the band from your hip indie friend’s bookcase, or even from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (which NBC won’t let you watch online because that’s stealing).
The annual festival, which is organized by Univeristy students, brings free music (and clapping, if you prefer) to the steps of the UT Tower. The show begins at 7pm with an as-of-yet unannounced opening act, followed immediately by Clap Your Hands at 8:30. Again, the show’s free and open to the public, so don’t be shy if you dropped out last year, your professor probably doesn’t remember you.
