Update: As pointed out in the comments, this actually is not a Lions tune, but rather a song from a new project by Lions frontman Matt Drenik. Sorry for the mistake and confusion. We have fired somebody as a result of the egregious error, though they actually had nothing to do with this post whatsoever. Check out more of Battle Me at their myspace page
Ahhhh, it’s the sensitive side of Lions. Maybe? The local mayhem wranglers sent us this new track, which they say was recorded for a SXSW comp, and we’re not exactly sure what to make of it. Or better yet, what would those Sons of Anarchy make of it!? But then Lions seems to love to throw us curve balls, so maybe we shouldn’t be surprised, or perhaps we should have seen it coming considering their recent Dylan foray. Either way, though, “No Time for Blood” is a pretty awesome song. Doubt this is going be a Guitar Hero standard or anything, though. Otherwise, the Lions seem to be laying pretty low, waiting to pounce on SXSW. But check out the new song below:

This is an interesting turn of events. Between this and the Dylan cover, it seems like the Lions have a boner for Band of Horses. Which may be a good decision, because ripping off Queens of the Stone Age seems a bit 2004.
It’s a solo tune by singer’s country thing Battleme. http://Www.myspace.com/battlemeatx ..
Ripping off Queens is so 2002 dude. Band of who?
I don’t get the Band of Horses comparison. Sounds like a cool song.
The BOH reference was more in terms of the reverb heavy vocals on the Dylan cover a few months ago.
Who doesn’t like reverb?
