When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth Benefit Friday for Stolen Gear
By Austin Sound • Apr 15th, 2009 • Category: NewsLocal pre-historic rockers When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth were recently ripped off when they had a bunch of equipment stolen from a break-in during SXSW, and they are holding a benefit this Friday with some friends to help replace it. This kind of stupid theft is unfortunately pretty damn common around the Live Music Capital, and its times like these that we as fans have to step up and help out our bands. The show is being put in part by the recently twitter-conflicted Austin Surreal, who will be DJing with some awesome stuff at the benefit this Friday at Beerland. Also lending a hand to the show are the Strange Boys, Dikes of Holland, Red X Red M, Ralph White, Woodgrain, and the Amazing Music Brothers. The Dinos will be playing acoustic to help get the point across, which in and of itself is a pretty awesome show. Maybe it will be something like their amazingly awesome Nirvana Unplugged mimicking video for “It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity,” which we’ve posted below just because we luurrrvvvve it:
