It’s not too often that I regret not being able to make it to a show, but after repeated listens to the pure retro bliss that Wine And Revolution sent for sharing I very much hate that I had to miss them open for King Kahn And The Shrines a few weeks back. Bummer.

At last weekend’s Everyone Knows Everyone I didn’t necessarily have a lot of time to catch much music, but one quick bit that I did get to see was from Yadira Brown, who managed to impress with just a single song.

During the summer it’s sort of difficult to stray away from the upbeat pop and indie rock that’s so readily available, easy to enjoy and appropriate for the heat, but every now and again it’s nice to slow it down with artists like Dan Dyer, who walk hand in hand with the more sultry side of life.
